Can I use my patients intravenous blood for the GlycanAge test?
Does the GlycanAge test have to be done with the finger prick included or are there other options?
In short - as long as the blood is kept in acceptable conditions for storage it can be used for the GlycanAge test.
The two rules are below:
- Please draw blood using an EDTA lavender top tube as per standard procedures.
- Apply 25 µL of blood to each circle on the card (stain with approximately 6mm in radius).
Using this method you can administer intravenous blood for the GlycanAge test succesfully.
