What is the range for the GlycanAge result?

What is the minimum and maximum range for a GlycanAge result?

GlycanAge's biological age results range is between 20 and 80. We have enough data for that age range to confidently establish a baseline based on over 30 years of research and 200,000 tests.

People younger than 20 are still developing their immune system and we are gathering more data for people older than 80 to expand it. The Glycan indexes in the report are more nuanced and specific to your chronological age, there is no specific "range" to these and this is reflected in the percentiles you find within the report.

Limited to 20 means that our lowest possible age reading is 20. That would mean that a 75 year old with a results of 20 in GlycanAge would have the lowest GlycanAge reading possible.

The recommended age group for GlycanAge testing is 18+, as prior to puberty the immune system is still developing and is not fully “matured”, aging of it happens thereafter. GlycanAge looks at the aging of the immune system and all its conveniences, something called “inflammaging”.
